Welcome to our family guesthouse in Lika
Pansion Izvor is a warm and welcoming family guesthouse in Korenica, surrounded by the quiet countryside of the Lika region. Guests are met with genuine care and personal attention, so a stay here feels more like a traditional Croatian home than a conventional hotel.
The house is clean, comfortable and thoughtfully maintained, the garden is full of flowers and greenery, and Plitvice Lakes National Park is only a short drive away. It is a peaceful base for couples, families and travellers passing through Croatia.
Rooms and accommodation
We offer three room types, all with a private bathroom, free WiFi, heating, comfortable beds and views of the garden, courtyard and surrounding mountains. The whole house is non-smoking, and cribs or extra beds are not available.
Standard Double Room (16 m² - 1 full bed) - A ground floor double room with an extra long bed and its own bathroom just across the hall. Quiet, easy to reach and ideal for a comfortable overnight stop.
Standard Twin Room (14 m² - 2 twin beds) - A bright twin room on the upper floor with a work desk and private bathroom. A practical choice for friends or colleagues travelling together.
Family Room (30 m² - 2 twin beds and 1 full bed) - Two connected rooms sharing one bathroom, each with a balcony overlooking the surrounding nature. Plenty of space for a family of up to five.
Homemade breakfast
Breakfast is prepared fresh every morning from local and homemade ingredients - fresh produce, homemade preserves, honey, eggs, dairy, cured meats, baked treats and good coffee. Continental and vegetarian options are served, and special diet meals can be arranged on request. It is the best possible start before a day at Plitvice Lakes.
Our bar and shared lounge are open for a quiet drink, and wine or a fruit plate can be arranged for an additional charge. Breakfast is served in the communal dining room, where guests share their plans for the day with us and with each other.
Garden and surroundings
The large garden is the heart of the property: lawns, flower beds, a sun deck, outdoor furniture, a picnic area and a children's playground. Free private parking is available on site, and there is room to store bicycles or ski equipment. In the evening the air is fresh and the only sound is the countryside.
Plitvice Lakes and the Lika region
Plitvice Lakes National Park Entrance 2 is 16 km away and Entrance 1 is 19 km, roughly a 15-20 minute drive, so you can set off early and avoid the crowds. The wider Lika region rewards a slower trip: the Gacka River, the watermill village of Rastoke, the Kuterevo bear refuge, the Nikola Tesla memorial centre in Smiljan, springs, caves and quiet walking and cycling routes.
Hospitality that feels like home
We look after our guests personally: a friendly welcome, sometimes with a glass of homemade rakija, honest advice on where to eat and what to see, and help planning the next day. The front desk is available 24 hours, private check-in and check-out is possible, luggage storage is free and we speak Croatian, English, Italian and Russian.
